Saturday, May 17, already a good two weeks since the marathon Sénart and as always for this adventure sport size, I still have not landed ... in fact this new sporting adventure left me in a state of weightlessness. 

The decision to participate in this marathon Spring was taken very late in the light of trainings and bibs that have been put in place on February 24. 

I left a month for actions that could strengthen me in this crazy idea is not just to participate but also the return of good feelings that might leave me augur a nice race. 

I ask no more: to have fun, enjoy every meter traveled and finish in good conditions with optimal recovery. 

So this March 22, 2014 I launched and I register to the nearest house and it will Sénart marathon:

By car: 
From Paris, follow the A6 to Evry (25Km) and then take the Francilienne to Marne-la-Vallée (N104) and exit at junction 27 Tigery (5km). 
From Paris, follow the A4 motorway to Lognes (20Km) and then take the Francilienne towards Evry (N104) and exit at junction 27 Tigery (25km). 
By public transport: 
RER D stop station Lieusaint-Moissy (35 minutes from Gare de Lyon) and Sénart Bus line 02: 
Thursday, May 1 

No parking possible vehicle at the starting village, all vehicles must park on arrival village Combs-la-Ville in Alain Mimoun stage. Regular free shuttle buses provide transport for riders and coaches between the village and the village arrival departure. 
These shuttles Sénart Buses run between 6:30 AM and 8:15 ET mark a stop at the RER station Combs-la-Ville for runners from RER. A return shuttle is scheduled after the start of the races for spectators. 

When I take knowledge of all these practical elements, they are very vague and unclear on display, mainly because I do not know anything about this part of the Ile de France but it does not matter because since 2007, when I started running, I always heard very good things about this race. 

So I look forward to just participate! 

The big difference with other marathons I have participated are 10 vacation days before and 5 days vacation after the race. 

This articulation holiday travel, vacation is ideal on paper but in reality! 

Lay your head, focus on the race and back foot with running for the best deal possible. 

And cherries (plural) on the cake, meetings for the first time in'' real'' with Yannick and Melanie. 

Moving your family or not? 

It is not a question of distance but practical organization: get up early and leave early but waiting longer or shorter depending on the time it will take me to travel the distance of 42.195 km .... 

We decide that I travel alone especially as the weather is threatening and this time we do not yet know what it will bring. 

D DAY! May 01, 2014 

Wake up and start normal day and leaving home for an almost unknown destination! 

Besides I use the GPS without too ask me a question. 

Less than an hour after I arrived at the stadium that hosts us and parking. 

I'm team and, like many other riders, wait for the shuttle that will take us out. 

This trip made ​​me regret once again be alone embarked on this adventure, when I see and hear good mood prevailing among groups of friends who are around me. 

Finally I would also like a bit. 

We finally arrive and head to the line that we will release in a few minutes. 

Upon arriving I met immediately Yannick patiently waiting for me, it does not particpera the race but we promise that this is only a postponement. 

I take this opportunity to get to know his wife. 

What a joy to give substance to a friendship that hitherto had not exceeded our respective Facebook walls! 

Same for Melanie I found on the starting line and will make a great race! 

That's all I'm looking for participating in a race: the sharing and friendship first! 

And it's off in a friendly atmosphere and a mixed but mild climate. 

The clouds are threatening but for now keep quiet.

The track is back! 

No question of force, it is not my habit and finally this pace of 10 km / h is fine by me. 

I do not miss any refueling and satisfied me granola bars that I will take every pit stop. 

These alternate supplies very intelligently with sponges strained by completely dedicated and very caring volunteers, I love immediately! Without them we are nothing! 

And then it strikes me from the start until the finish line are the incentives, they are runners throughout the race. 

Persons accompanying but not only enthusiastic excited to go see a race like this close to home and take the opportunity to encourage strangers. 

I never fail to thank the strangers who encourage me, more than 250 times I pronounce this word and I never will force me because without them I think I would not have advanced the same way. 

Comes the second part of the race more difficult because we are in an area consisting of long straights with fields on both sides of the road and out of sight, at least in our view. 

Then I squeeze a little more teeth and savor the happiness and pleasure to be there and live life to the fullest! 

No special pain if they are not the traditional ones legs who, by dint of martelr the ground, beginning to find that this is a bit long ... 

No worries nutrition or digestive problems (a little off and that will suffice for the duration of my course) this first part, for the second half against the rain begins to make its appearance. 

Contained in the beginning but it will not last ... 

I want and still keep running, saving me but still current and that until 33 th kilometer, which is a record for me ... 

always ... and thanks to the encouragement of strangers and volunteers. 

The little extra boost is given to me by two colleagues in two different locations that successfully encourage me to two strategic locations, and it is a real nice surprise for me and gives me a boost. 

I beginning to show serious signs of fatigue, the evidence I alternate walking and running for quite a while. 

And less than 5 kilometers from the finish, I regained control, or at least I try and make the necessary efforts to complete satisfactorily. 

The pluis is now pouring and even very strong but volunteers continue to distribute our sponges soaked in water, I take because it keeps me busy during the last straight line is not elsewhere. 

I think back to what I was told the coach and especially the arrival at the stadium in the city Combs that unfolds after a beautiful descent into town; 

I'm not very far and be careful not to slip and fall. 

Clean the places that harbor arrivals of such events is heard commotion, I do not see long ones I ran intermittently, they are in front of me but it is not important, as the chrono I wanted in about 04 H 00 but will be much more than that.
